Upcoming interrogation games
Suspicious Minds: interrogation simulator
Suspicious Minds (Ejder Yurdakul, Reverse Mermaid Studios) reverses the usual role: you are the prime suspect. Before each interrogation you receive a case file, then you answer a lead detective by speaking into a microphone or typing. Steam describes 22 murder cases, an offline AI engine and a detective that reacts to pauses and hesitation in your voice. Real research suggests such cues are weak signs of lying; see Why There Is No Single Reliable Sign of Deception.
Profiler Files - New Orleans
Profiler Files - New Orleans (Land Creations) casts you as a young FBI agent who searches crime scenes, interrogates and profiles suspects, and makes choices that shape a branching story with multiple endings. Steam lists 10 episodes and over eight hours of gameplay. The 11 Nov, 2026 date is for Early Access; the developer says version 1.0 is scheduled for 2027.
Hawkins & Sons Detective Agency
Hawkins & Sons Detective Agency (Vera Florentine) is a detective visual novel set in London in 1895. You play an ageing private detective and his daughter, explore scenes through point-and-click gameplay, interrogate suspects and uncover contradictions.
Upcoming deduction and forensic mysteries
Dupery: A Game of Solo Deduction
Dupery (Gilded Rune Games, Yogscast Games and GamerSky Games) is a solo deduction roguelite set in a noir city run by a criminal syndicate. Cases are procedurally generated, many roles lie, and you cross-reference clues on a detective board before making arrests, while protecting your reputation.
Death at Fleming Manor
Death at Fleming Manor (SUPERTHUMb) is set in England in 1959. You examine each scene, question the people involved, then record the victim, cause of death and whether it was an accident, suicide or murder in a death certificate or emergency report. Its Steam page pitches it to fans of Return of the Obra Dinn and The Case of the Golden Idol.
Psycho-Sleuth
Psycho-Sleuth (PHOSEPO, Thermite Games and Smilegate) is a mystery game about 13 characters with contagious cognitive disorders, such as one that stops anyone from lying. Its Debate Mode asks you to judge statements quickly and counter them with clues.
Wrongly Accused
Wrongly Accused (Elomelo Games, SwopBots Ltd.) is a first-person mystery in which you join an agency that investigates historical miscarriages of justice. You explore crime scenes, interview suspects and link evidence to build a crime report, with multiple endings.
Upcoming whodunnits and co-op investigations
Murder on the Stella
Murder on the Stella (General Federal Studios, TURBO D3) is a procedural whodunnit set in 1982. You investigate a murder aboard a cruise ship, interrogate suspects and solve the case before the ship reaches its destination. Steam says it is different each time you play.
Sockpuppet Noir
Sockpuppet Noir (LizardFactory) follows private detective Frank Sockowski through three cases. You gather information through interrogation, sleuthing at crime scenes and gossip, then arrest your main suspect. Its characters are real sock puppets filmed on a green screen.
DUAL PROTOCOL: The Case of Eva & Miles
DUAL PROTOCOL (AEGEAN CRAFTERS, Rock Paper Publisher) is an online co-op noir puzzle game for two players. One plays a field agent, the other an analyst. You cannot see each other's screens, so you solve the Castellari murder by describing what you find.

Is Murder Book an upcoming interrogation game?
Yes. Murder Book: The Art of Interrogation is a narrative-driven interrogation game from Gungrounds, an independent studio founded in 2016 in Zagreb, Croatia. It is inspired by real police footage and psychological interviews. You examine unreliable stories, behavioural changes, narrative gaps, avoidance and contradictions. The press kit names behaviours including Fabrication, Avoidance, Narrative Gaps and Emotional Leakage, and development screenshots show an evidence board for linking statements and a menu of interrogation techniques such as Build Trust and Confrontation.
Each case is designed for a focused 5–10-minute session. Murder Book is in development for PC (Steam) and mobile, with release currently planned for the end of Q2 2027. See What Is Murder Book? and the Murder Book release FAQ.
